Residential Basement Pumps
At the heart of every basement conversion, there is an unseen hero working tirelessly to keep the basement dry 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are of course referring to the basement pump. Just because the pump is out of sight doesn’t mean it should be out of mind.
You should give your basement pump the same level of importance as you would your boiler. Most people have their boiler serviced annually to make sure that during the cooler months the boiler is in tip top condition and the house stays warm. The same goes for your basement pump. If you want the peace of mind that your basement is going to remain dry then you need to make sure it is serviced.
We offer residential and commercial customers a range of flexible servicing packages dependent on the individual servicing requirements. Our pump servicing specialists will advise on a service by service basis should there be a change to the recommended frequency and requirements of service plan. Changes in service pattern may be required as a result of the type of water in the area or the frequency that the pump is operating for.

We are proud of the quality of service that we provide to our customers be they big or small. Below are a couple of examples of the basement pump servicing service that we provide:
Residential Case Study: The Manor House, Cheshire:
We have been looking after the basement pump in this property since the owner took the plunge in 2010 and turned their dark, damp cellar into a dry, useable storage room.
Following an initial service, it became apparent that an annual service would potentially put the operation of the pump at risk and leave the basement prone to flooding. This risk was as a result of the location of the property which is in the heart of rural Cheshire. Due to the substrate in the area, there were high levels of silt build-up which if left would have clogged the pump and invariably have led to the pump failing and the basement flooding. As a result, we advised servicing the pump initially every 4 months. This service routine is constantly reviewed by our service engineers to ensure that we not only give the best value to the owner but also eliminate the risk of the pump failing.

Commercial Case Study: High Street Bank, London:
The Basement Sump and Pump Co. were called upon to manage the servicing and maintenance of two basement sump pump systems at commercial premises in North London. The system had been in place for several years and had not been maintained for some time.
Our servicing engineers were able to identify that one of the pumps required replacement as the neglect had resulted in damage happening to the pump making it irreparable. The servicing was made extra tricky as one of the pumps was in the bank vault itself! No problem though for the determined our London basement pump servicing specialists who were on site.
